Sailing across an ocean has been on my bucket list ever since I can remember. I finally got a chance to do it when I was asked to help deliver a sailboat from Honolulu to Los Angeles. This was no ordinary sailboat either. This was a 70 foot ultra-light displacement go-fast type sailboat; a Santa Cruz 70 that has won two Transpac races. Everybody asks me what it's like to fly four thousand miles to get on a boat with five strangers and sail three thousand miles across the Pacific Ocean with them? It was exciting. it was interesting. It was a real learning experience. But, most of all it was a great sail. I highly recommend it.
